The conditioner goes on easily, lasts a long time and leaves my hair feeling moisturized without the buildup.
Like the other reviews here, this takes a bit of getting used to.
But its worth the learning curve I think.
My scalp is super sensitive (I’ve started to think my skin hates hair period!) but after using this and the shampoo bar, my skin has relaxed its assault on my nerve endings.
I’m not sure how it works on long hair but on short hair it works really well. Just make sure you rub it into your hair and let it sit a bit before you start freaking out that it’s not slippery yet. Give it a minute and then work it in.

I own a head of very long, thick curly ethnic hair. To try this conditioner bar was a testament to my commitment to the environment; curly girls fear straying from products that work. But boy am I glad I strayed!
At first, I used the shampoo bar and was like, " I could get behind this." Then, my dread came as I picked up the conditioner bar and felt it hard in my hand. How do I use it? I eventually rubbed it vigorously on my ends, feeling disappointed. But I waited a few minutes.
And magic happened.
A week's worth of dead hair and tangles slid effortlessly through my fingers from root to ends. NO SNAGS. My beloved Shea Moisture never did that. To say I was amazed is an understatement. I sit here with wet hair rushing to write this to tell other curly girls the good news. That we can have amazing hair and be responsible environmental stewards.
