Love habitat botanicals conditioner bar
I got this when Habitat was doing a promotion to try their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bars along with deodorant and chapstick. This is a decent conditioner bar. I don’t think it will last as long as three bottles of conditioner, but it should last a while, maybe 6 months. It doesn’t leave residue in my hair, which is great, but I find it very difficult to work into my hair. It’s good because it doesn’t fall apart from bathroom/shower humidity, but for the first few weeks I wasn’t even sure if anything was getting into my hair. Now that I’ve used it for over a month it seems like it’s working, but it definitely takes some effort to get it integrated into my hair. I also feel like it’s not “luxurious” enough for my dry hair. I think this would be good for someone with oily hair, but for me I don’t think it’s enough. I’ve actually been using it all the way up to my roots, and adding a hair mask to my ends several times a week. I will say that I would recommend this product, but it would really depend on who I was talking to. So I will continue searching for a conditioner bar that I love. I do think Habitat is a great company and I appreciate their commitment to sustainability.
I love that this bar leaves my hair super soft although I will admit that it can be difficult to use. It takes me a little longer to apply it compared to a bottle of conditioner but that was expected. I also would have liked if it came in a circular shape (like the shampoo and body wash bars) rather than square since I store most of my beauty products in circular tin containers for traveling.
This is the perfect match to the shampoo. I was worried not enough would come off the bar to cover all of my hair and I was wrong! It is very hydrating on my dry hair and works through my hair easily. I’m hooked!
This alongside the aloe shampoo bar are my new favorite duo. The conditioner bar takes a bit more effort to work into the hair, but what I have concluded is that it simply doesn’t feel the same as a traditional conditioner when the product is being distributed in my hair, but after it is rinsed out and dried it is more soft and smooth than any other traditional conditioner I’ve ever used. So, I don’t mind taking a bit more time to work it on. I appreciate that there isn’t a detectable scent because I am quite sensitive to harsh fragrances. I definitely will repurchase when the time comes!
Does it's job eventually, I had to play with the instructions a bit and try different water temps and ways of applying it to find what works best for me. Can be a hit or miss depending on the day when I get it right it works quite for my thick wavy hair. Works better for me on damaged (dyed, bleached or permed) I don't use it every wash I find it can leave a bit of a film I don't like the feel of if it layers. Moving in to summer I'm much more pleased with the results when I had some issues in the damp + colder months.
Since I started using Habitat products my hair has become so soft, healthy, and shiny!
There is never any residue and I love that!
I will never use anything else.
Highly recommend this to everyone.
I was uncertain if I should just rub the bar in my hand apply to my hair or just wipe the bar on to my wet hair so I did a bit of both. My hair feels oily and somewhat sticky when dry but I am shedding less, my hair looks shinier and healthier with less tangles. For reference I have straight, thin hairs but it is long and thick. I haven't tried the shampoo, I have a sensitive , Dandruff prone scalp and this conditioner left my scalp feeling soothed and without Dandruff!
I'm happy to have healthy, planet friendly, inexpensive hair products any day!
Just moisturising enough considering the shampoo bar doesn't dry your hair like normal shampoo. I can actually go 2 days between washes on my very fine hair!
My hair feels healthier, less breakage and frizz, air dries nicely now!
I was surprised at how great this bar is on my hair. It always feels silky soft after using the conditioner bar. The only thing that I would note is that there isn't really a scent to this conditioner bar, and I am someone who loves a good scented shampoo/conditioner.
